Commercial Fishermen Donate to Feed Alaska's Kids

Every year around the state of Alaska commercial fishermen, along with the hlep of local processors, donate thousands of pounds of the world’s best food to Alaska’s school cafeterias: wild Alaskan seafood.

Wild Alaskan seafood is known for its health benefits and no one knows better than Alaskans that starting our kids young on a healthy diet of fish at least twice a week can aid in thier mental and physical growth. Offering locally caught, wild seafood for school lunch is a great opportunity not only to nourish Alaskan communities but to provide an introduction to children about where food comes from and how to appreciate it.
